Gregory Brellochs, Professor of Sculpture and Design at Camden County College, NJ, is a Philadelphia based artist whose work explores both the disciplines of drawing and sculpture. Originally from Ithaca, New York, Brellochs lived in Boston and then Munich, Germany before moving to Philadelphia in 2002. He earned his B.F.A. in Sculpture from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and an M.F.A. in Sculpture from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Some of Brellochs' previous exhibitions include The Wind Challenge Exhibitions at the Fleisher Art Memorial, Street Button (Fleisher Ollman), microBiophilia (BCC), Works on Paper 2004 at the Arcadia University Art Gallery, and 5 into 1 at Moore College of Art and Design. His work has also been exhibited locally in both solo and group shows at the Arcadia University Art Gallery, Camden County College, Cumberland County College, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Wayne Art Center.
In each of his solo exhibitions Brellochs’ interest in nature, science, and perception have led him to create objects and images that seek to manifest the sense of a fantastic surreal world into which the viewer’s mind can project.
